Tatung developing electric powertrains and full electric chassis for buses

Taiwan – Taiwan’s Tatung Company of Taipei plans to expand into the battery-powered commercial vehicle industry, the company confirmed at an electro-mobility trade show held in the country’s capital city (Taipei) in October. 

Tatung’s president Chaney Ho told reporters at the show that the company is targeting both the EV “software and hardware” segments and will provide complete powertrain solutions to its clients - initially targeting the local bus industry.
