Cummins opens hydrogen innovation centre in California

USA – Columbus, Indiana-based Cummins Inc has announced the opening of its Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powertrain Integration Center in West Sacramento, California.

Cummins is currently investing in two variants of hydrogen fuel cells: proton exchange membrane (PEM) and solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). The new facility in Sacramento will focus on PEM fuel cells which the firm states suit heavy-duty, long-haul applications.
