GAZ brings Sadko NEXT truck to Australia

Russia / Australia – Russian commercial vehicle manufacturer GAZ Group, based in Nizhny Novgorod, has announced that its Sadko NEXT 4x4 truck is now available in the Australian market. The vehicle is marketed in Australia as the GAZ Trackmaster, with sales and maintenance to be undertaken in partnership with AAV 4x4, a Brisbane-based body-builder and dealer of off-road vehicles.

The Sadko NEXT is fitted with a 149hp YMZ-534 turbocharged diesel engine outputting 490Nm of torque. GAZ claims that the engine, developed in partnership with AVL List GmbH (an engineering colsutancy based in Linz, Austria) has an operating life of 700,000km. In addition, the vehicle can carry a payload of up to three tonnes and can tow a trailer of up to 2.56 tonnes, making the Sadko suitable for private customers, business, municipal organisations and rescue services.
