Plug Power to open new European headquarters in Duisburg, Germany

USA / GermanyPlug Power Inc, a manufacturer of fuel cell systems and electrolysers based in Latham, New York, USA, has announced it will be locating its new European headquarters in the port of Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The new facility is expected to open early next year. 

The company will initially construct a 70,000-square-foot facility to house engineering laboratories, a monitoring, diagnostics and technical support centre, an on-site electrolyser for green hydrogen production, an inventory and logistics centre, and a training space. It will be located in the world’s largest inland port, with supply chain connections to Antwerp in Belgium and Rotterdam in the Netherlands, located in a region with a high concentration of industrial activity.
