Lion Electric receives order for 200 electric school buses

Canada – The Lion Electric Company of Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, has received a conditional purchase order for 200 fully electric Lion-C school buses. The vehicles have been ordered by Langs Bus Lines, which operates around 600 vehicles in Southern Ontario.

The purchase order is conditional upon the success of a grant application under Infrastructure Canada’s Zero-Emission Transit Fund (ZETF)¹. Langs Bus Lines has been trialling an electric Lion-C since 2019 as part of the Electric School Bus Pilot Program of the Ontario Climate Change Action Plan. The first deliveries of are expected in 2022, with the final vehicle delivered by the end of 2026.
