BYD brings e-truck range to Hungary

Hungary / China – Shenzhen-based BYD Inc. has announced it is now offering electric trucks to customers in Hungary. This includes the ETM6 cargo truck and the ETP3 panel van. Hungarian sales and aftersales will be managed by Hungarian distributor, Eurotrade Kft of Kisigmánd through its facilities in Szombathely, Kisigmánd, and Kistarcsa. Orders are currently open for delivery in 2022.

While Hungary is new to BYD’s sales network, it is familiar with the country thanks to the manufacturing facility that it operates in Komárom. This plant has been manufacturing e-buses since 2017, however, recent investment at the site has increased annual production capacity to 400 vehicles. All of BYD’s eBus range, from the 8.7m midi bus to the 18m articulated bus, can be manufactured at the factory.
