USA / UKHyzon Motors Inc, a manufacturer of fuel-cell electric vehicles and systems based in Rochester, New York, USA, is partnering with Ricardo plc, an automotive and clean energy engineering consultancy based in Shoreham-by-Sea, UK, to develop hydrogen fuel cells and associated management systems.

The partnership will bring together Hyzon’s high-power-density fuel cell stack and Ricardo’s expertise in software, control systems, and thermal management. The two companies recently worked together to integrate Ricardo’s ‘Vehicle Integrated Controls and Simulation’ (VICS) control system with Hyzon’s prototype fuel-cell electric truck which was exhibited at the ACT Expo 2021 in Long Beach, California, USA in September. Ricardo now looks to support Hyzon in a global capacity, supporting them in the development and deployment of advanced energy management and propulsion systems for fuel-cell electric vehicles.
