Ford to double production of electric F-150 Lightning

USA – Ford Motor Co of Dearborn, Michigan, has announced it plans to nearly double production capacity of the electric F-150 Lightning pickup to 150,000 units per year. The vehicles are produced at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn.

Ford is investing more than USD30 billion in electric vehicle production until 2025. Within 24 months, Ford will have the global capacity to produce 600,000 battery electric vehicles annually. The firm is currently building the largest production facility in its 118-year history in Tennessee, where it will assemble next-generation F-Series electric pickups.
