Meritor begins production of 14Xe ePowertrain for Class 5-8 CVs

USA / Norway – Meritor Inc, a components manufacturer based in Troy, Michigan, USA, announced in December 2021 that its electric powertrain for Class 5-8 commercial vehicles has entered series production in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. The company claims the ‘14Xe ePowertrain’, marketed under the ‘Blue Horizon’ e-mobility brand, is the only integrated electric powertrain for Class 8 trucks currently in production in North America.
