USA / JapanTropos Technologies Inc of Morgan Hill, California, USA and Panasonic Corporation of Osaka, Japan have announced they will be integrating ‘Panasonic OneConnect’ with the “Tropos Motors”-branded line of electric low speed vehicles for the North American and European markets from early 2022.

Panasonic’s fleet management platform will be integrated with Tropos Motors’ ‘ABLE’ vehicles, providing monitoring services and predictive controls for vehicle management with the intention of improving efficiency, maximising up-time and reducing the total cost of ownership. The platform will allow fleet operators to monitor driver safety, cargo security, vehicle maintenance, cost and energy utilisation, and other business metrics. “Multi-tenancy” will allow vehicle manufacturers and end-users to extend data access through the platform to their partners, while predictive controls will let operators to assign specific rules for individual vehicles, relating primarily to the provision of over-the-air updates and end-user notifications.
