BrightDrop receives order for 5,000 eVans from Walmart

USA - General Motors Corporation subsidiary BrightDrop has announced that it has signed an agreement with superstore giant Walmart to reserve 5,000 of its EV600 and EV410 electric delivery vans. The first vehicles are expected for delivery in 2023.

The order adds to FedEx’s reservation of 2,000 units over the following few years. Both customers will be using the vehicles to delivery packages to private homes, with the vehicles from the new order supporting Walmart’s home delivery service. The BrightDrop vans will assist FedEx and Walmart in reaching their shared goal of operating zero-emission fleets by 2040.
