UK - The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (“SMMT”), the trade association for the UK automotive industry based in London, has reported that the market for light commercial vehicles (categories up to 3.5t) grew by a fifth in 2021 to 355,380 registrations, only 2.8% down on pre-pandemic figures recorded in 2019.

SMMT also reported, however, that registrations of rigid LCVs weighing between 3.5t and 6t fell by 11.4% from 6,757 in 2020 to 5,988 in 2021.
