GreenPower to build electric school buses in West Virginia

USA / Canada - GreenPower Motor Co, based in Vancouver, Canada, has announced it plans to manufacture its range of all-electric school buses in Charleston, West Virginia, USA. The firm has signed a purchase agreement for a manufacturing facility on the condition that the state of West Virginia purchase a minimum of USD15 million of GreenPower vehicles produced at the plant.
The new facility features an 80,000sqft building on a 9.5-acre plot, and will begin producing electric school buses in the second half of 2022. West Virginia will also provide up to USD3.5 million in employment incentive payments to GreenPower as jobs are created over time.
