GermanyTraton SE, a parent of several commercial vehicle manufacturers based in Munich, Bavaria, has released end-of-year results for 2021, showing that its overall unit sales grew by 43% to 271,600 vehicles, while its incoming orders increased by 66% to 360,000 vehicles.

The impressive figures largely reflect the impact of American subsidiary Navistar International Corporation following its consolidation in the group in the second half of 2021. Navistar sold a total of 30,300 vehicles in the period between July and December. Traton noted, however, that overall unit sales would have grown by 27% without taking into account Navistar’s contribution.
