Ford begins shipments of E-Transit in the USA

USA – Ford Motor Co, based in Dearborn, Michigan, has started shipping the first models of the all-electric E-Transit to its Ford Pro commercial customers. Ford has already received orders for more than 10,000 units of the E-Transit which it says have come from over 300 different customers.

The new E-Transit is being produced at the firm’s plant in Kansas City, which is also Ford’s first facility to produce both batteries and electric vehicles under one roof. The company states it has invested over USD100 million in the assembly plant in addition to hiring 150 full-time employees to support E-Transit production.
