South Korean government supports hydrogen fuel-cell truck development with trials of five hydrogen fuel cell trucks

South Korea – The South Korean Ministry for Land, Infrastructure & Transport in late December 2021 announced that trials of hydrogen fuel-cell trucks in real logistics operating environments had begun to help determine accurately the full eco-system requirements before these vehicles are introduced commercially.  

Five hydrogen-powered 11-ton Hyundai Motor Xcient model trucks were put into operation in the Seoul metropolitan area and in the south of the country in a 12-month trial supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
