Volvo Trucks receives order for 29 electric trucks from Posten Norge

Sweden / NorwayVolvo Trucks Corporation of Gothenburg, Sweden has received an order for 29 battery-electric trucks from Posten Norge AS of Oslo, Norway which Volvo claims is the largest such order it has received to date for its FL and FE electric trucks in Europe. 

The trucks, comprising both FL (up to 16.7 tonnes) and FE (up to 27 tonnes) models, have been ordered in a mixture of two- and three-axle configurations. They will be put in operation throughout the whole of Norway. In addition, Volvo Trucks will deliver three more electric trucks as well as 13 biogas trucks which were ordered by Posten Norge last year. Following delivery of all these trucks, 37% of Posten Norge’s fleet will be running on renewable energy.
