Hankook opens new test centre in Spain

Spain – Hankook Tire & Technology, based in Seoul, South Korea, has announced the official opening of a new test centre in Idiada, Spain, around 40 miles outside Barcelona. The test centre operates a highly automated testing process with an on-site team of around 20 people.
Hankook stated that all areas that previously had to be accommodated separately on the premises are now housed under one roof in the new workshop due to the constant growth in testing and development requirements over recent years. The new facility adds to investments made by Hankook in 2021 which saw the development of the Technotrac winter tyre proving ground in Ivalo, Finland, and the opening of the firm’s workshop at the Nürburgring.
