BAE Systems and Meritor to unveil e-powertrain solution for the truck market

USA – BAE Systems Inc, based in Endicott, New York, is set to unveil a new e-powertrain solution for the truck market in collaboration with Meritor Inc of Troy, Michigan.

As part of the collaboration, Meritor will manufacture the e-axle and its electric motor, with BAE Systems contributing the power electronics and systems integration. BAE Systems can also supply battery or fuel cell kits depending on the application; the latter application is thanks to an existing agreement with fuel cell manufacturer Plug Power Inc, based in Latham, New York.
