Westport Fuel Systems report 24% revenue growth in 2021

CanadaWestport Fuel Systems Inc, a manufacturer of gas engines based in Vancouver, British Columbia, released its full year and Q4 2021 results, showing a 24% increase in revenue over the entire year to USD312.4m (compared with USD252.5m in 2020) and a net income of USD13.7m. 

In the fourth quarter, revenues decreased by 1% to USD82.7m compared with the same period of the previous year (USD83.9m). Westport’s net income for Q4 2021 was USD5.2m. The company states its relatively poor performance in the fourth quarter is attributed to delays caused by the shortage of semiconductors in the supply chain.
