Cummins opens 10MW hydrogen fuel cell production centre in Germany

Cummins' Hydrogen Fuel Cell Systems Production Center in Herten, Germany

Germany – Cummins Inc, based in Columbus, Indiana, has announced that its new Hydrogen Fuel Cell Systems Production Center in Herten, Germany, is now operational. The facility has an initial annual production capacity of 10MW for fuel cell system engineering and assembly.

The 14,100 sq ft (4,300 sq m) fuel cell facility is located in a dedicated hydrogen park in Herten. It is equipped with on-site hydrogen storage, a state-of-the-art hydrogen detection system, and other safety features.
