USA / Canada McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc, a manufacturer of cement mixers and refuse trucks and subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation based in Dodge Center, Minnesota, USA, have purchased AI product ‘CartSeeker’ from Eagle Visions Systems Inc of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, which will help McNeilus towards automating curb-side waste collection.

CartSeeker curb-side automation is an AI-based recognition technology that can automatically identify waste bins and directs operation of the truck’s robotic lift arm without input from the joystick. It was first demonstrated in a side loader truck by McNeilus at the Waste Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA in June 2021.
