Motiv Power Systems’ medium-duty truck exceeds 150 miles with ONE battery

USA – Motiv Power Systems of Foster City, California has announced that its sixth-generation electric truck exceeded 150 miles on a single charge using battery systems supplied by Our Next Energy (ONE) of Novi, Michigan during a field test.
The medium-duty truck was fitted with two ‘Aries LFP’ battery packs providing 156 kWh. The cathode chemistry of the batteries is free of nickel and cobalt, making it a cheaper and more sustainable alternative to conventional lithium-ion batteries. ONE also claims that its batteries are safer and longer-lasting due to greater thermal and chemical stability.
