USANavistar International Corporation of Lisle, Illinois has announced that it will equip all International Truck and IC Bus products with onboard telematics as standard, allowing connection to its remote vehicle diagnostics platform.

Navistar’s ‘OnCommand Connection’ service provides customers with over-the-air vehicle software updates to optimise performance and vehicle health monitoring to identify potential faults. The service also gives customers access to onboard GPS and the International 360 service communications platform, which manages the scheduling of routine vehicle maintenance. Data collected and analysed by the software can be accessed by customers in the form of data “insights” via the platform. Navistar has already been installing telematics in its Class 8 on-highway vehicles since 2018, but it will now roll-out the technology across all its Class 6-8 vehicles.
