BYD launches new 100% electric truck in the Brazilian market

Brazil – BYD do Brasil Ltda of Campinas, São Paulo State (a subsidiary of BYD Co Ltd of Shenzhen, China), has launched its newest truck on the Brazilian market, the eT712.220.

The new model has a total gross weight of 12 tons and is equipped with a two-speed transmission integrated into the e-axle. Energy is stored in BYD’s own advanced lithium-iron phosphate batteries, which BYD says guarantees a range of 230 kilometres. The eT712.220 battery recharge time is two to three hours with a DC charger or four to five hours with an AC charger.
