Scania invests in UK-based logistics software company

Sweden / UK – The corporate venture capital fund of Södertälje, Sweden-based commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania AB has made an investment in logistics software company Parcelly Ltd of London, UK. The sum of the investment was not disclosed. 

Founded in 2014, Parcelly is the developer of a mobile online platform which aims to improve the efficiency of first- and last-mile delivery through its comprehensive map of retailers and carriers. The carrier agnostic platform is intended to ease the sourcing of unused space in real estate for e-commerce through its map of “logistics hubs” with on-demand retail storage capacity for fast-selling online goods.
