Blue Bird receives largest-ever electric school bus order

USA – Macon, Georgia-based school bus manufacturer Blue Bird Corp has received the largest order of electric school buses in its history from Modesto City Schools in California. The order covers 30 units, enough to convert nearly half of the school district’s fleet to zero emission vehicles. Deliveries of the vehicles are scheduled for Q4 2022.
Modesto City Schools anticipates saving more than USD250,000 per year in fuel costs alone through the purchase of Blue Bird’s Type D electric buses, which feature a range of 120 miles. Carrying up to 84 passengers, they take between three and eight hours to fully recharge.
