Torc Robotics opens new development centre in Stuttgart, Germany

USA / GermanyTorc Robotics Inc, an autonomous driving technology company based in Blacksburg, Virginia, USA, has announced that it is opening a new technology and software development centre in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, nearby the headquarters of its parent, Daimler Truck

The German offices will be the new home of subsidiary company Torc Europe GmbH. The new site comprises an 18,000 square-foot main building and a 12,000 square-foot workshop space. The choice of Stuttgart as a location is key: the Torc Europe site will be next door to the Untertürkheim engine, transmission and axle plant occupied by Daimler Truck and Mercedes-Benz Group; Mike Avitabile, Vice President of Engineering at Torc, said,
