Knorr-Bremse global operations reach climate neutral milestone

Knorr-Bremse global operations now climate neutral

Germany – Knorr-Bremse AG, based in Munich, Germany, has achieved a key climate milestone of carbon neutrality across all group sites. The firm states that, considering carbon offsets, its operations have been carbon neutral since the end of 2021.

The group says it is on track to achieve a further goal of halving its total carbon emissions by 2030, without applying any carbon credits or offsets. Knorr-Bremse claims that 98% of its electricity supply in 2021 came from renewable energy sources and is expanding its in-house electricity generation capacity at a rate of 1,900MWh per year.
