BAE Systems Series-EV components

USA – BAE Systems Inc, based in Endicott, New York, has entered into an agreement with Hometown Manufacturing Inc of Crandon, Wisconsin, to supply the firm with full-system electric drivetrains and power electronics for its heavy-duty buses.

Hometown is best known for the vintage-design trolleybuses that it manufacturers out of its Crandon headquarters. As part of the agreement, BAE Systems is supplying Hometown’s Streetcar trolleybus with its Series-EV powertrain, enabling the firm to electrify its heavy-duty product range. In addition to the Streetcar, the Series-EV system is also available on Hometown’s low-floor transit bus.
