Acela Truck Co introduces 4x4 fire truck chassis

Acela Straya 4x4 fire truck

USA – Truck builder Acela Inc, based in Bozeman, Montana, has released a new 4x4 fire truck chassis, named the Straya. The company claims it is the first ever purpose-built wildland/urban fire truck chassis.

The chassis features a 300 Series axle from Meritor and is based on an Isuzu NRR base cab and chassis. In addition, the company states that the vehicle features axle components currently used in the US Army’s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program.
