Indian LCV bus sales increase in Q4 of FY2021/22

India - Sales of light-duty buses (7.5t & below) surged by 48.8% to register 6.937 units in Q4 of FY2021-22 (January to March), up from 4,662 units in Q4 of FY2020-21. Production increased by 33% from 5,688 units to 7,564 units, but exports fell by 26.7% from 733 units to 537 units.

In the minibus segment with seats more than 13 seats (GVW ≤ 5 tons no. of seats including the driver exceeding 13) there was an increase in domestic sales of 5.9%, up to 1,413 units in Q4 from 1,334 units a year earlier. Production increased by 55.2%.
