Production and sales in India’s tractor market surge in Q4 2021-22

India - Tractor sales during the fourth quarter of FY 2021-22 (January to March 2022) increased by 41.9% to register 11,941 units, compared with 8,413 units in the same quarter of the previous year (FY 2020-21). Tractor production increased by 39.5% from 8,572 units to 11,960 units and export sales grew by 43.40%.
In the light-weight tractor (26.4 tons < GVW ≤ 40 tons) segment, domestic sales grew by 36.3% to 1,475 units in the Q4, up from 1,082 units a year earlier. Export sales grew by 258.3% and production increased by 50.5%.
