Singapore - ALBA W&H Smart City, the Singapore unit of German recycling and environmental services company, Alba Group, has purchased 15 battery-powered Scania 25L low-entry trucks after winning a new contract for public waste collection in Singapore’s Woodlands-Yishun district.

The trucks feature a low-entry cab, rear loader and nine batteries with up to 297kWh, will allow for efficient, emission-free and low-noise waste collection in the island-state, as part of the Singapore Government’s commitment to sustainable transport. They are scheduled to be delivered in cab-chassis form in mid-2022, after which special waste-compactor bodies will be fitted locally.
