Turkey – Commercial and defence vehicle manufacturer, Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.Ş (Otokar) at Busworld Turkey announced the e-Centro, as the electric version of its new product range, Centro.

The e-Centro, Otokar states, is a completely new fully electric mini-bus available in two lengths of 6-metres and 6.6 metres. The 6.6m version has capacity for up to 32 passengers with low entry access through centrally located doors. It is fitted with a Dana TM4 electric motor with a maximum power of 200 kW and a maximum torque of 1200 Nm. It is fitted with 110 kW Li-ion NMC in-house assembled battery pack, which are fitted under the floor creating a wide and spacious interior, and which, according to Otokar can be fully recharged in just 1.5 hours and offers a range of up to 200 kilometres on a single charge. The vehicle benefits from up to 25 per cent energy recovery from braking and deceleration in urban traffic.
