Navya successfully tests autonomous passenger shuttle at UTAC site in France

The Autonom Shuttle Evo by Navya

FranceNavya SA, an autonomous vehicle manufacturer based in Villeurbanne, France, has announced it has successfully tested its driverless passenger shuttles at the Linas-Montlhéry circuit in France, which is owned by UTAC (Union technique de l’automobile, du motocycle et du cycle).

Navya trialled its Level 4 autonomous passenger shuttle, called the ‘Autonom Shuttle Evo’, in an urban reality-based scenario, comprising roundabouts, intersections, bike lanes, bus lanes, parking areas, signs, and level crossings. It carried out tasks such as reacting to a vehicle slowing down in front of it and pulling out in front of another vehicle. It also made use of Euro NCAP crash test equipment – the only such available in France.
