ZF localises TraXon transmission production in Brazil

ZF's TraXon transmission + Intarder 3

Brazil - July this year, ZF do Brasil Ltda, headquartered in Sorocaba, state of São Paulo, sees start of production of the TraXon transmission. The TraXon transmission will be integrated with the ZF Intarder 3, which will be imported from Germany. This combination will then be supplied to an unnamed bus OEM in Brazil and will, according to ZF, be the first application of TraXon in buses worldwide.

ZF says localised production of TraXon coincides with start of production of Euro VI assembled vehicles in Brazil, from January of next year; the design of TraXon had been proven in Europe to help vehicles achieve these emission standards. As well as emissions, TraXon helps with efficiency and when coupled with the Intarder 3, provides much improved vehicle safety.
