USAThermo King Corporation, a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems based in Bloomington, Minnesota, has announced that it has expanded the functionalities of its ‘ConnectedSuite’ range of telematics solutions, allowing for greater accessibility to data through cloud-based sharing options.

Thermo King’s ConnectedSuite portfolio includes its ‘TracKing’ system, which allows for remote control and monitoring of transport refrigeration units and trailers and is installed as standard in all ‘Precedent’ trailer units since 2018. Now data insights collected by TracKing can be accessed by a single mobile application, the ‘Thermo King Connect’ app, which is replacing the ‘Thermo King Reefer’ and ‘Notify’ apps. In addition, customers may easily choose to integrate selected digital platforms with TracKing, allowing them to opt-in to authorise available partners to access data from their Thermo King units. Carl Breczinski, Digital and controls product manager at Thermo King, stated that the aim of these new features is “to provide customers with critical data, when and where they need it, regardless of the fleet management system they use or type of refrigeration units they run”.
