Scania begins construction of new regional production base in China

China - Swedish truck manufacturer, Scania AB of Sodertalje - a Traton Group company - has begun construction of a new global truck plant in the city of Rugao in China’s Jiangsu province in June.

The plant will be responsible for supplying trucks to the domestic market and for export to other markets in Asia when it becomes operational in late 2024 or in early 2025.
