PolandImpact Clean Power Technology SA of Warsaw, Poland announced in June that it has begun construction of a new battery manufacturing facility which, upon completion in 2024, will increase the company’s annual production capacity to 5 GWh (compared to an approximate capacity of 365 MWh at present).

‘GigafactoryX’ will produce batteries with a range of different chemistries: lithium-titanate-oxide (LTO), lithium iron phosphate (LFP), and nickel manganese cobalt (NMC).1 Around 200 new jobs will be created by the construction of the facility.
