Renault Trucks, Carrier and Toyota to help build training centre in Ghana

Renault Trucks is participating in a UN World Food Programme scheme in Ghana

GhanaRenault Trucks SAS of Saint-Priest, France, Carrier Global Corporation1 of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA and Toyota Tsusho Corporation2 are partnering with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to build a transport training centre in Accra, Ghana, with the aim of improving transportation and logistics in West Africa. 

The project, which also has the support of the respective governments of Ghana and Japan, will set up a training facility offering in-person and remote courses to up to 400 people a year. Trainees, including staff from humanitarian organisations, governments, and the local private sector, will be taught best practices in road transport, fleet management, and moving temperature-sensitive commodities such as certain foodstuffs and medicines.
