GRW takes over Schmitz Cargobull site at Toddin

Germany / South Africa – Schmitz Cargobull AG, a manufacturer of semi-trailers, trailers and truck bodies based in Horstmar, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has announced that GRW Tankers and Trailers, a manufacturer based in Worcester, South Africa, has begun production of silo and tank trailers at the facility in Toddin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, where Schmitz Cargobull builds motor vehicle superstructures.
Schmitz Cargobull has held a 40% stake in GRW since 2017. By allowing GRW to take over production at the Toddin site in Germany, Schmitz Cargobull hopes to boost the South African company’s presence in the European market. GRW plans to manufacture and assemble tankers and plans to produce more than 100 units at Toddin this year.
