USA – Battery manufacturer Romeo Power Inc of Cypress, California has announced that its OEM customers can now use two black box systems1 to accurately simulate and predict the performance of Romeo Power batteries in specific applications.

The ‘Electro-Thermal Black Box’ (ETBB) and the ‘Aging Black Box’ models are proprietary simulation tools which will allow OEMs to analyse the electric and thermal performance of Romeo Power’s ‘Banyan Module’ over time, without having to conduct real-world testing. The simulations are built on the ‘Simulink’ mathematical modelling platform, which uses the ‘MATLAB’ programming language developed by MathWorks Inc
