BMZ Group announces partnership with CALB

Germany / China – BMZ Group, a battery manufacturer based in Karlstein am Main, Bavaria, Germany, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with fellow battery firm CALB Co Ltd of Changzhou, Jiangsu, China to develop and produce batteries for the EMEA, Americas and APAC markets.
This global collaboration will target various vehicle segments, including buses, trucks, agricultural vehicles and construction vehicles. The two companies will develop lithium-ion batteries based on a nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) chemistry provided by CALB. No further details about the partnership have been disclosed.
