Hydrogen-powered engine research brings together Isuzu, Denso, Toyota, Hino and CJPT

Japan - Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation (CJPT) of Tokyo, Japan - a research and development collaboration joint venture (established April 2021), owned by Toyota Motor Corporation of Toyota, Hino Motors Ltd of Hino-shi, and Isuzu Motors Ltd, headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo - together with components giant, Denso Corporation of Kariya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, have announced they are to work jointly to develop hydrogen-powered combustion engines for heavy-duty commercial vehicles. 

Commenting on the project, Akio Toyoda, CEO of Toyota, said:
