Switch Mobility to deploy up to 5,000 electric buses in India

UK / India – Switch Mobility Ltd of Sherburn in Elmet, UK has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with mobility tech company Chalo Mobility Pvt Ltd of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to deploy 5,000 electric buses across the subcontinent.
The MoU covers an initial period of three years, during which time Switch will supply Chalo with variants of the new ‘EiV12’, designed specifically for the Indian market. Chalo is a transportation service provider whose primary products are two mobile applications for tracking buses and for purchasing tickets. The company offers its service in 22 cities across India. Under the partnership, Switch and Chalo will jointly invest in the deployment of electric buses in the cities where Chalo is present.
