Telangana awards 300 electric bus contract to Olectra

Olectra k9 12-metre electric city bus for TSRTC
India – Olectra Greentech Ltd (formerly Goldstone Infratech Ltd) of Hyderabad (which has a technology and strategic marketing agreement with electric bus builder, BYD Co Ltd of Shenzhen, China), has received a letter of award (LoA) from Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRCT) of Hyderabad to supply 300, 35-seat, low-floor, 12-metre non-AC model K9 electric buses based on a Gross Cost Contract (GCC) model, valued at USD 62.5m.
The buses will be procured by Evey Trans Pvt Ltd (EVEY) - a sister company of Olectra Greentech, also of Hyderabad - from Olectra over a 20 month period and then operated and maintained by Evey for 12 years.
