Benalu acquires Legras, merging to form new trailer group

FranceBenalu SA, a semi-trailer manufacturer based in Liévin, France, has announced its acquisition of Legras Industries SAS, a specialist in the manufacture of moving-floor trailers based in Épernay, France. 

Legras is a hundred-year-old company which designs and manufactures many different kinds of moving-floor semi-trailer for the European market. These include trailers specifically designed for waste collection, 4-axle trailers, and trailers specified to UK or Nordic market requirements. Producing its trailers at an 80,000-square-metre facility in northern France and employing 250 workers, Legras turns over approximately EUR80m per year.
