SEA Electric delivers Australia’s first electric aviation refueller

Australia – Australia’s first all-electric aviation refuelling truck – supplied by Australian-American electrification specialist SEA Electric – was put into operation in August at Brisbane Airport.
The truck, which can carry approximately 16,000 litres of aviation fuel, is installed with a fully-electrified pumping system. It derives its power from the SEA-Drive propulsion system, installed in a SEA 500 EV medium-duty model. SEA Electric worked with aviation fuel supplier Air BP and with Refuel International of Sunshine West, Victoria, which supplied the chassis-mounted tank and pumping system.
