pepper motion to begin retrofitting Actros MP5 trucks

Germany – pepper motion GmbH of Denkendorf, Bavaria has announced it will be adding the Mercedes-Benz Actros MP5 (by Daimler Truck) to its range of electrification options in the second quarter of 2023 alongside the MP3, which it has offered since 2021.
The retrofit firm will be offering customers the option to electrify used models of the Actros MP5 range, launched in 2019 as an 18-tonne 4x2 tractor unit (lowliner, low frame or standard frame). In addition, pepper motion plans to produce 50 retrofitted Actros trucks as part of its 2023 series production ramp-up, eventually building up to 2,500 vehicles by the end of the decade. These will be priced between EUR270,000 and EUR 290,000 and will be eligible for federal subsidies.
